Paleo On The Go Review – Chef Prepared Healthy Meals To Your Door
I can easily eat “Paleo” every day without even trying to abide by this diet. Only problem is, that I don’t have time to cook. After stumbling onto this website, I just had to try this food subscription box service and make this Paleo On The Go review.
I’ll be ordering several of their paleo diet programs to try for myself. If it’s good, I may even continue this program beyond this paleo review. However, I’m getting ahead of myself, so first, let’s see if this Paleo food delivery service is even worth it.
Paleo Diet Introduction
Most of the diet programs that are covered on this website are not really sustainable for the long term. This website has touched on a few diet programs including the Keto diet, but the Paleo Diet is healthy enough to become more of a lifestyle.
Most of you are familiar with the “caveman” diet. Nicknamed this because most of the food eaten can essentially be hunted for or scavenged. In more recent times, civilization has come up with more sophisticated foods that tend to be more fattening and less healthy. These include breads, dairy products, vegetable oils, grains, and of course, processed food.
This review is not necessarily an introduction to the paleo diet benefits, so I won’t go into that much detail. But this diet consists mainly of meat and vegetable to includes eggs, fruit, nuts, seed, and a few others. Besides these, there are many other foods on the paleo diet food list. All of the “Paleo On The Go foods” have been Paleo Certified.
Paleo On The Go Education
If you have the time and want to know more about how the Paleo Diet as well as other foods, check out their Paleo On The Go Blog. There is a drop-down on their website to learn more about the foods we eat.
Some of the information includes, of course, paleo foods, but also the keto diet, plant diets, food allergies, and carbohydrate intake. This is also a great resource to learn about the autoimmune Protocol and the AIP diet including inflammatory foods and insulin.
How Does “Paleo On Go” Work?
The short and sweet to this question is, choose your food, wait for it to arrive, and then heat it up. I’m going to see if it’s just that easy. This website is supposed to be a quick and easy way to get quality Paleo comfort foods.
Paleo On The Go Review
I decided to do an online order to see if this is the best paleo food delivery service. Ordering food online isn’t something that I’m accustomed to doing, so if this is in any way difficult, I will definitely be letting you know.
The best part of this paleo food delivery service is that you don’t need to know any paleo recipes or be versed in paleo diet etiquette. You only need to be able to use a microwave or an oven.
After hitting the “start here” button, then you will need to select your diet and meal preferences (paleo, AIP friendly, GAPS friendly, or low carb diet).
The site seems easy to navigate, and the food pictures look delicious. There are plenty of paleo proteins and even sweets. Hope they taste as good as they look!
I started with Paleo Diet selection, and then Entrees. For each menu item, the ingredients, supplemental facts, heating instructions, and prices are listed. There is a $99.00 order limit, so I will need to choose several items. So I chose to order several paleo entrees.
My Paleo Meal Order
The Grass-fed Beef Bolognese with Butternut Squash Noodles really caught my eye!
After clicking on the meal, it has a chart giving you everything that you want to know about this meal. A full description, how to prepare it, the ingredients, and a nutritional facts chart. I think this is a very good idea to let me know exactly what I’m getting into.
I selected this meal as a “one-time purchase” at $17.75, then simply added it to the cart. You can select an option to get further discounts by subscribing to automatic deliveries and other conveniences. Since this is my first time, and I’m just trying it out, I’m not going to do this at this time.
Other meal items that I chose, since they looked so tasty include the Spinach and Mushroom Beef Lasagna, the Smoked Salmon Breakfast Bowl, the Moo Shu Pork Taco Kit, Savory Hash Breakfast Bowl (pictured below), and as a snack I got the Garlic Chicken and Broccoli Empanada. If you go to the site, you will discover many more items on their paleo diet menu to choose from.
I would recommend hitting the $.98 per item shipping protection in case the packages get damaged, stolen, or come not frozen anymore. All of these entrees added up to $105. 31, and so far it seems like a lot of food for the money.
Before paying, don’t forget to enter your discount coupon code. I’ve left one throughout this page for you, so hit the Paleo On The Go discount code: $15 off
Next for the shipping:
I chose the 3 days or less standard shipping since I’m not in a hurry. Shipping costs can vary, but mine was $27.95. That means that my grand total for all this food was $114.11, plus I get points on my Visa.
My Paleo food box was ordered on a Wednesday, and I recieved it Friday.
The Unboxing
For this review, I opened my paleo box in front of the camera for you to see.
All items came in one square shaped box and was wrapped very securely. The meals were wrapped in a foam type material and with dry ice. Everything looked in place, so I put all of it in the freezer except for one meal to thaw in the refrigerator.
Simply Heat It Up
So I decided to try the Savory Hash Breakfast Bowl first. The directions for most of these are to thaw in the refrigerator the night before, but I imaging that you could get away without thawing these meals ahead of time.
There were directions for microwave, oven, or stove top, so I chose the easiest for me, microwave. Pull back film to vent and heat on high 2-3 minutes.
The finished product was tasty; 410 calories with 21 grams of protein! Also low sugar and high in fiber. Although it didn’t look exactly like the picture on the website, I was very happy with the taste and consistency. Good enough to recommend to others that would like a good “paleo” meal.

Paleo On The Go – Diet Categories
Here are a few of the other diet food delivery options that they focus on.
AIP Meal Delivery
Another option for this Paleo food box is AIP meals on the go with a full AIP compliant menu including AIP bakery items.
AIP, the Autoimmune Protocol Diet is becoming a more popular way to eat, so plan on seeing more of this in the future. It is aimed at those with autoimmune conditions. this is because certain foods come with food sensitivities that cause inflammation.
Paleo On The Go is provides a large selection of food items that qualify, so you don’t have to eliminate much from your diet. This way the customer can still fill up on foods that they like, and ones that are full of nutrients at the same time.
The AIP diet list consists of quality animal proteins, vegetables, fruits, olive oil, and herbs. While eliminating certain nuts, sweets, grains, some vegetables, gluten, eggs, dairy, and artificial ingredients. If you are considering the AIP diet for yourself, I would start with their AIP tacos; they look great.
Keto Meals On The Go
POTG is far from being a keto meal delivery service. However, they do make some keto-friendly foods. These are high fat and low sugar selections for those following the keto diet.
For even more options in a keto delivery service, check out my Thrive Market Review which includes Paleo-Keto-Vegan-Raw-Organic-AIP-Gluten Free.

Paleo On The Go Review Wrap Up
For my wrap up, the Paleo On The Go website is easy to navigate, the prices are easy to read, and the shipping and payment process is painless. My paleo food box arrive on time, still cold, and included everything that I ordered. Heating up the paleo meals was also quick and painless.
As far as the taste, so far I’ve only sampled one of my paleo meals so far, and this one was quite tasty and seasoned nicely. It was also high in protein at 21 grams. Comparing price, taste and ingredients, I would recommend Paleo On The Go Meals.

Bonus
I must have accidently hit the 5% off to subscribe to their weekly program. This is an option to be automatically billed with their regular meal program which I wasn’t interested at this time. I sent them an email about this, and they quickly responded by taking me out of this billing program. This made it obvious that they care more about customer service and satisfaction than the money.
