Mr. Hyde Pre Workout Review
I’m thrilled to do this Mr Hyde Nitro X review since it was my first love in a pre workout supplement. I switch brands from time to time as my body will adapt to a particular pre workout (or tolerance), but I will always come back to Mr Hyde.
I even have several friends from the gym that keep it in their car so they will always have it when they get to the gym. And for the low price of around $30 you can’t go wrong!
Mr Hyde Nitro X is scientifically shown to promote pumps, vascularity, strength, mental focus, sustained energy, and increased motivation giving this pre workout supplement consistently strong reviews along with and a great pump at the gym.
We will be reviewing the pros and cons of Mr Hyde Nitro X and then going over the best way to take this supplement. I thought it would also be important to look at why these particular ingredients work so well. I’ll also offer a bit of my personal experience with this pre workout.
If you have any comments or questions about this Mr Hyde review, please leave them in the box at the bottom of this post and I will respond.
Mr Hyde Nitro X Review
I ranked this pre workout conservatively at an 8.7 out of 10, since I have never truly had a ten I wouldn’t know what that is. Perhaps my expectations are too high within pre workout supplements. And if I ever get that “unicorn” 10, I will be sure to pass that on to you.
First of all, the “Peachy Oh” flavor that I chose was tart and sweet. It also mixed well with 8oz of water and ice. Within 15 minutes of consuming my Mr Hyde, I was already feeling the effects as well as that pre workout tingle. This tingle is most likely from the Nitrosigine which is simply an amino complex that we will discuss later.
Mr Hyde, I was amped up and ready to go. Another pro for Mr Hyde is the length of time that it is active. It stuck with me through a hard hour of working out, along with another hour of running afterward. You can get all of this motivation and energy and still be able to sleep at night.
Speaking of motivation, the way I felt mentally helped me focus on working harder and longer. I felt the muscle pump that it provided when I went hard, and I could see my veins showing a bit more from the rush of blood going to my muscles.
This vascularisation is an important part, so you know that your pre workout is performing like it should.
At the end of the day, I felt tired yet satisfied with my challenging workout routine. Now the hunger begins. I always insist on having a post workout protein supplement for muscle recovery after my workouts. These are vital for muscle growth and recovery.
Mr Hyde Nitro X Pros
The flavor that I purchased this time was called “Peachy Oh!” For one, the flavor is great, so I do recommend purchasing this flavor if they have it. It has a little bit of your average concentrated pre workout after taste, but not masking anything with an overly strong flavor or with too much sweetness. This taste is surprisingly mellow for containing 400mg of Caffeine.
This awesome amount of energy that Mr Hyde provides will also burn more of calories during your workout, therefore cutting fat and promoting weight loss.
A definite Pro for Mr Hyde is the price. It is on the low side for a pre workouts, so you will get a lot of bang for the buck with this one.
The amount of energy this provides is more than sufficient, which is one of the most important things in a pre workout. Also the duration of the energy was enough to power through the workout and more.
Mr Hyde has plenty of the necessary amino acids to give you that muscle pump and aid in muscle recovery. This, in turn, increases muscle growth.
Mr Hyde Nitro X Cons
There are not many cons, and actually only one that I know about. The 400mg of Caffeine in this pre workout, which is near the top of the spectrum for pre workouts. The range is usually between 200-500mg, so this is above average. This is about 3-5 cups of coffee.
If you are caffeine sensitive, this could cause you some discomfort. This includes mainly some tingling, headache and you could even have nausea. I haven’t found these Mr Hyde side effects with myself. There is also a chance that this will only happen the first time you take it, as your body will adjust and get us to it.
There is also a chance that it could keep you up at night if you don’t take it early enough in the day. I have had pre workouts like this and it is not fun rolling around all night.
Luckily, there is a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on this product if it does not work for you. Once again, I have haven’t had any issues with it and far as I know, neither have any of my gym friends.
Mr Hyde Nitro X Ingredients
It’s all in the ingredients. As we have discussed, the amount of Caffeine at 400mg really gives it a kick. There is also another ingredient called Nitrosigine that is created by bonding L-arginine, Inositol, and Potassium Silicate that is very effective for your workouts.
Nitrosigine increases vasodilation and increased muscle pump bringing more oxygen to your muscles. This promotes faster recovery between exercises(or sets) and gives you more strength.
A vital ingredient is Creatine, which most people have heard of at one time or another. Creatine, through a series of chemical reactions, will allow the muscles to produce more energy to fuel your workout.
The 3rd biggest factor is the Beta Alanine. This is an amino acid that, as you work out helps remove the acidity in your muscles. This regulates the acidity levels in your muscles. This is important because it increases endurance, lifting performance and increases muscle growth.
Mr Hyde also prides itself on the ingredient Teacrine. This product gives you jitter-free and sustained energy. It also claims to promote positive mood elevation and mental clarity.
Many other pre workouts contain some of these same ingredients but in different forms or ratios. Mr Hyde seems to have achieved a great mix of these ingredients in their pre workout.
How to Take Mr. Hyde Pre Workout
Between reading instructions and my personal experience, I would recommend taking Mr Hyde 15 to 30 minutes before your workout. I generally try to take it right before I leave the house, so by the time I begin my routing it is already starting to kick in.
The manufacturer recommends using 1 scoop of pre workout to 8oz of water. Here is a picture of how I mixed it in my shaker for this review.
At 190 lbs, I will usually take about a scoop and a half. If this is the first time you have taken this supplement, it is recommended to start out with a little less than a serving. Then slowly adjust the serving over time to get the effect that you want. This will prevent any of the side effects that we went over. One more thing, don’t drink this within about 4 hours of bedtime!!

Dr Jekyll Caffeine Free Alternative
If Mr Hyde is a little over the top for you, I recommend trying Dr Jekyll Nitro X. This is an alternative pre workout made by Pro Supps (the same company). Just as the real story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, there is a calm one and a crazy one.
Dr Jekyll pre workout is a low Caffeine and sugar-free alternative and this one also comes with great customer reviews.
Dr Jekyll low-stim pre workout has added amino acids for increased muscle pump and endurance. These options also contain additional factors for better focus, cognitive performance, and motivation.

The Mr. Hyde Nitro X Conclusion
As you can tell, I like this product a lot. My friends and I insist on keeping this one in our pre workout supplement rotation. If you can handle the large amount of Caffeine, will be a good fit for you and do wonders for your exercise routine.
In case you are not into this much Caffeine, don’t forget about the other Pro Supps pre workout supplement called Dr Jekyll Nitro X. This is a Caffeine and sugar-free alternative that focuses on its pump and energy by using other ingredients. It’s a great concept, and I will be reviewing it at a later date.
The only downside I can find to Mr Hyde is that it is not an “all natural” pre workout, meaning that you will find artificial colors and flavors. If this is a concern for you, I have a post with some great “All Natural” recommendations.
As far as Mr Hyde Nitro X, I feel that the price for 30 servings is a great value. I’m very satisfied with the flavor since it doesn’t have that chemical taste like some other pre workouts that I’ve tried. I feel like this is a well-rounded pre workout supplement that lives up to a name “Mr Hyde”. It also won’t keep you up at night.
I hope you enjoyed this Mr Hyde Nitro X pre workout review. If you have any questions, comments or want to leave your own personal review, please leave a comment below and I will respond as quickly as possible.
If you have further questions that I can’t answer, the manufacturer at prosupps has a lot of other insight and detailed information about Mr Hyde. Unfortunately, the online prices for their products are higher.
