C4 Ultimate Pre Workout Review

C 4 Ultimate comes in a variety of sugar-free flavors.  Cherry Lemonade, Icy Blue Razz, Orange Mango, Strawberry Watermelon, and Gummy Candy.

Taste

This time the Strawberry Watermelon sounded best to me.  Ultimate is free of any artificial flavors and dyes which makes this a natural pre workout.  Because of this, the flavors are not overpowering or overly done.

C4 is sweetened with Sucralose which I will talk more about in the ingredients.  The flavor tastes good, yet strong tasting since it is so packed with Caffeine and Amino Acids.  It seems to mix well with about 10oz of water and a couple of ice cubes (directions say 1 serving to 6oz of water).

Quantity and Timing

Since this is not my first time trying C4 Ultimate, I used a little more than 1 serving.  If you are not used to taking pre workouts, Always start with less than a serving your first time.  Otherwise, you are almost guaranteed discomfort, headaches, or the jitters.  The only that pre workout is bad for you, is when overused.

My normal routine is to drink my pre workout right before I leave my house.  This way it is starting to kick in when I get to the gym.  By the time the warm-up is over, I’m all in.   C4 Ultimate has a large amount of Caffeine, so I can feel that kick first, then the head tingle from the Beta-Alanine.

Workout Results

The most important benefits are felt as I begin my exercise routine.   It feels as if I can push and pull more weight, also I don’t need nearly as much resting time between sets.

The strong Amino Acids are helping to recharge the muscle after each set. This keeps me from fatiguing during my workout and gives me longer endurance.  The creatine is there to help my body build muscle after working out.

I prefer to do a Crossfit type workout by jumping from exercise to exercise while keeping my heart rate up.  Today my C4 Ultimate stayed with me for the entire hour of intense exercise.  Then 15 minutes on the treadmill for a little bit of Cardio.
